Please note that the fact that Nison was Yankel's brother, and that Wolf
Rosengold was Nison's son are not documented facts, but assumptions based
on various clues in the records. For example, at Nison's death, it says he had
2 sons one of whom was named Wolf; Wolf has a son named Joshua (as well as a
son named Sholom born shortly after another apparent brother of Nison and
Yankel named Sholom dies in 1817 - note that Yankel also has several grandsons
named Sholom born at the same time, and at least 2 grandsons named Nison).
